NYC couple pleads not guilty in Utah rough threesome case

The SoHo couple accused of plying a Utah woman with tequila and Ecstasy before forcing her into an S&M threesome during the Sundance film festival last January has pleaded not guilty.

Anne Hardcastle, 27, and Michael Taylor, 45, appeared in a Park City courthouse Monday and entered their pleas after being released on $ 20,000 cash bail, sources told the Daily News.

The well-heeled world travelers were ordered to surrender their passports by Oct. 5 or have the bail forfeited, one court source said.

Taylor was given a preliminary hearing date of Nov. 18 while Hardcastle was told to return Dec. 12. Those dates could change as prosecutors try to get the cases heard together, another source said.

NYC couple will be extradited to Utah to face sex assault charges

The kinky couple made headlines two weeks ago when The News first reported their arrests at their Thompson St. apartment in Manhattan.

The New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force took them into custody for allegedly forcing the “blacked-out” woman into a violent threesome that left her battered and bruised.

The suspects might have gotten away with their alleged ambush, but Hardcastle sent the victim an Instagram friend request while the woman was still in the hospital just a few hours later, authorities claim in warrant paperwork first obtained by The News.

Unbeknownst to the suspects, the victim met with police at the Park City Medical Center exhibiting fresh evidence of the deviant debauchery — scratch marks all over her upper body, suction marks on her neck, bruises and bite marks on her arm, a bitten lower lip and acute vaginal pain, the warrant states.

“You said you liked it rough and so I gave you what you wanted,” Hardcastle allegedly told the victim in one incriminating online message, prosecutors claim.

Hardcastle is charged with object rape and forcible sodomy for her alleged digital penetration of the victim, prosecutors said. Taylor is charged with object rape and forcible sexual abuse.

Attempts to reach the Utah lawyers who represented the couple in court Monday were not immediately successful Tuesday.

Taylor, a former professional hockey player, worked at the private equity firm First Avenue before his arrest but he no longer appears on the company’s website.

“For the record, half of our firm is women, that’s 50% of our staff globally, so accusations of rape or attempted rape are taken very seriously. How we react to this is extremely important,” First Avenue co-founder Paul Buckley previously told The News.

Hardcastle’s shocked dad, meanwhile, said he didn’t believe the allegations when reached by The News two weeks ago.

Michael Taylor is also accused of forcing the Utah woman into a threesome while she was unconscious.

“The last thing she would do is engage in this sort of activity. She’s not that sort of person at all. She wouldn’t hurt anyone,” Ed Hardcastle, 64, said.

He said his daughter “couldn’t have been happier about that trip to Utah. There was no mention of any incident.”

The Maryland dad said his daughter and Taylor had been dating for a couple years. He said they traveled extensively. Hardcastle’s Instagram has turned private since her release on bail. It previously boasted photos from trips to Barcelona, Rome and Park City.

On Jan. 25, the victim, a woman in her 20s, went to a Park City bar to listen to a band with some friends, court documents claim.

There she met Hardcastle and Taylor, who said they were in town for Sundance, the couple’s arrest warrants state.

Taylor bought three rounds of tequila, then the suspects chatted the woman up and invited her to a Sundance after-party, prosecutors allege.

She agreed, but the couple said they had to make a quick detour to their hotel room first. The victim followed the suspects inside, where they plied her with more booze, gave her Ecstasy and suggested a threesome, prosecutors allege.

Alarmed and uncomfortable, the victim sent text messages to two friends, warning them she might need a ride home soon, prosecutors say.

But before she could escape, everything “went black,” the victim claims, according to the court documents.

She woke up in bed with Hardcastle the next morning and fled to a friend’s house, prosecutors allege. She later went to the hospital and allegedly found the fateful Instagram request from Hardcastle.

Over the next six months, at the direction of detectives, she stayed in touch with Hardcastle and pieced together what happened.

Hardcastle allegedly admitted she digitally penetrated the victim, performed oral sex on her and licked her breasts, prosecutors said. She also claimed Taylor fondled the victim’s breasts and digitally penetrated her, according to the warrant.
