A freshman wide receiver at Indiana University was dismissed from the school following his arrest Thursday on two charges of child molestation.
Kiante Enis admitted to police — who received a tip about the 19-year-old’s actions — that he had two “consensual sexual encounter(s)” with a child who was 13-years-old or younger, the Star- Press reported. The child was a girl, a Randolph County chief deputy sheriff told the paper.
Each felony charge of child molestation comes with a maximum sentence of 16 years in prison and a $ 10,000 fine, according to The Associated Press. the paper reported. Enis was being held on $ 20,000 bond at Indiana’s Randolph County jail on Thursday.
Enis didn’t play in the Hoosiers’ first two games, with IU coach Kevin Wilson saying that he was sidelined due to a concussion.
